Husky safari 5 km self-driving with a hot drink in small group, into the wild!

We are in the wild Lapland, at about 50 minutes from Rovaniemi center, at 7 km from the Vanttauskoski village, along the river.

At your arrival, you can dress warmly ; we lend, if necessary, an over-suit, warm shoes and hat (adult size only).

You will be introduced to the sled dog activity. You meet our sled dogs, get to know the equipment, and learn how to handle a sled ; You will drive your own sled with 6 huskies, for a 5 km safari, 2/3 adults per sled (+ driver and children) in little or private group only ; you can change the driver at half distance, if you wish.

We cross fields and forests to the rhythm of the dogs. After the walk, the dogs will be free and you can enjoy a moment of complicity with them and pet the dogs who wish.

Then we take the direction of the chalet by the river where we offer you a hot drink.

Including : Guided hiking in small or private groups, Informative talk about huskies, driving instructions, winter warm over-jacket adult size, a hot drink, transfers from Rovaniemi and back if you take the transport option ; the sled driving duration is about 25 minutes.

The pickup and drop off from Rovaniemi center is optional. Please take the option if you don't have rental car.

    Exclusions

      The pickup and drop off from Rovaniemi center is optional. Please take the option if you don't have rental car.

      You have to come with your winter clothes.

      We reserve the right to cancel a hike for reasons of availability or in case of very cold temperature. In this case you will be refunded in full. We do not accept pregnant women.

      In November or December, if the snow has not yet arrived, the 5 km husky safari on snow will be replaced by a 5 km husky safari on kart (on land) at the same price ((and will therefore not be refundable).

      We decide whether or not you can drive a sled, depending on your age, your physical condition, your attendance at driving explanations and your compliance with the rules; we reserve the right to decide at any time your ability to drive the sled for a simple breach of the driving rules (for example if you let go of the sled or do not brake enough) in this case, a guide will drive the sled to your place and you can sit in the sleigh. Our goal is the safety of our customers and our dogs.
