Drive your own sled on a 5 km husky safari in a small group. Meet our dogs and enjoy a hot drink in our riverside chalet, surrounded by the peaceful forests of Lapland.

We are in the wild Lapland, at about 50 minutes from Rovaniemi center, at 7 km from the Vanttauskoski village, along the river.

You will be introduced to the sled dog activity. You meet our sled dogs, get to know the equipment, and learn how to handle a sled ; You will drive your own sled with 6 huskies, for a 5 km safari, 2/3 adults per sled (+ children) in little group only (1 driver per sled)

We cross fields and forests to the rhythm of the dogs. After the walk, the dogs will be free and you can enjoy a moment of complicity with them and pet the dogs who wish.

Then we take the direction of the chalet by the river where we offer you a hot drink.

Including : Guided hiking in small or private groups, Informative talk about huskies, driving instructions, a hot drink, transfers from Rovaniemi and back if you take the transport option ; the sled driving duration is about 25 minutes.

The pickup and drop off from Rovaniemi center is optional. Please take the option if you don't have rental car.

If the snow has not yet arrived, the 5 km husky safari on snow will be replaced by a husky safari on kart (on wheels) at the same price (and will therefore not be refundable). The kart is not self driving

Transportation is NOT available for the 11:10 departure.

    Exclusions

      TRANSPORTATION IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE ACTIVITY PRICE.

      We are located approximately 60 km from Rovaniemi city centre. If you do not have your own or a rental car, round-trip transportation can be added at the final stage of the booking, just before payment.

      The transportation price is per booking, not per person, and includes all participants on the same booking

      Please note

        The minimum reservation is for two people. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate single guests, as we do not mix different groups or families in the same sled.

        You have to come with your winter clothes.

        We reserve the right to cancel a hike for reasons of availability or in case of very cold temperature. In this case you will be refunded in full. We do not accept pregnant women.

        If the snow has not yet arrived, the 5 km husky safari on snow will be replaced by a husky safari on kart (on wheels) at the same price (and will therefore not be refundable). The kart is not self driving

        If only the 2 km track is accessible for karting (on wheels), we will cover 2 km, and you will receive a partial refund.

        We decide whether or not you can drive a sled, depending on your age, your physical condition, your attendance at driving explanations and your compliance with the rules; we reserve the right to decide at any time your ability to drive the sled for a simple breach of the driving rules (for example if you let go of the sled or do not brake enough) in this case, a guide will drive the sled to your place and you can sit in the sleigh. Our goal is the safety of our customers and our dogs.

        If you do not have your own car or a rental car, you must book the round-trip transportation option when making your reservation.
        Transportation is NOT available for the 11:10 departure. Guests booking the 11:10 tour must come with their own vehicle.
        The duration displayed for this activity refers to the time spent on site only and does not include transportation.
