Are you ready for a day tour into the wilderness of Lapland?

We are located in the heart of wild Lapland, about 50 minutes from Rovaniemi city center, and 7 km from the village of Vanttauskoski, along the river.

You will be introduced to sled dog activities: meet our huskies, learn about the equipment, and discover how to handle a sled. You will drive your own sled pulled by 6 huskies for a 5 km safari. Each sled accommodates 2–3 adults (plus children), in small or private groups only (1 driver per sled).

We will cross fields and forests to the rhythm of the dogs. After the ride, the dogs will be set free, and you can enjoy a special moment with them and pet those who come to you.

We will then head to our riverside chalet, where you can enjoy a hot drink.

Next, you will meet one of Lapland’s most iconic animals: the reindeer.

During the green season (from April to the end of November), reindeer roam freely in the forests. In winter, they stay in enclosures in small groups, where they are protected and have access to abundant food during the coldest months.

We will enter the enclosure and offer them treats so they come closer. You will have the opportunity to approach and even touch the most curious ones. This is also a great time to ask questions about these beautiful semi-domesticated animals, perfectly adapted to the Lappish environment.

After visiting the reindeer, we will gather around a wood fire to enjoy grilled sausages, a hot drink, and dessert.

After lunch, we will head to an old natural park for a 2 to 4 km round-trip walk.

The walk will take us to a scenic viewpoint overlooking the surrounding nature and lake. If we stay quiet, we may spot wildlife such as capercaillie, ptarmigan, red foxes, otters, or swans. In any case, you will enjoy the peace and silence of Lapland’s wilderness.

If you wish, you can also try ice fishing for about 30 minutes. Afterwards, you can warm up by the fire before heading back.

It will then be time to return to the city center.

Pickup and drop-off from Rovaniemi city center are optional. Please select this option if you do not have a rental car.

    The time indicated includes: The transportation time from the city center of Rovaniemi (Round trip), sled driving instruction, safari, dogs and reindeers visit, hot drink and lunch. (Time on site: approximately 5h30)

    Exclusions

      The pickup and drop off from Rovaniemi center is optional. Please take the option if you don't have rental car.

      Please note

        The minimum reservation is for two people. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate single guests, as we do not mix different groups or families in the same sled.

        You have to come with your winter clothes 

        We reserve the right to cancel a hike for reasons of availability or in case of very cold temperature. In this case you will be refunded in full. We do not accept pregnant women.

        Husky tour : We decide whether or not you can drive a sled, depending on your age, your physical condition, your attendance at driving explanations and your compliance with the rules; we reserve the right to decide at any time your ability to drive the sled for a simple breach of the driving rules (for example if you let go of the sled or do not brake enough) in this case, a guide will drive the sled to your place and you can sit in the sleigh. Our goal is the safety of our customers and our dogs.

        If the snow has not yet arrived, the 5 km husky safari on snow will be replaced by a husky safari on kart, 20 minutes about (on wheels) at the same price (and will therefore not be refundable).

        If only the 2 km track is accessible for karting (on wheels), we will cover 2 km, and you will receive a partial refund.
